Previously in Yig Snake Grandaddy…

In Yig Snake Granddaddy, our previous Cthulhu Mythos for 5e campaign, evil serpent folk seek to bring back prehistoric times, complete with pterodactyls, dinosaurs, and other monstrous beings.

In Land Out of Time, the first act of four, your player characters adventure into the wilds of Yilan, a primeval wilderness infested with carnivorous slime molds, gigantic crocodiles, and other lost horrors. The heroes encounter an evil serpent wizard, who prepares for an evil ritual beyond belief.

Betrayed, marooned, and hunted by super-intelligent enemies, can the heroes even survive, yet alone prevail?

More Horror with Ghoul Island

More Horror with Ghoul Island

Adventure Hook by Arthur Petersen

After the climatic events of Ghoul Island [SPOILER AHEAD], the volcano of Kaza erupts destroying the Elder Influence of Ghatanothoa and the ghoulish cult supporting him. However, unbeknownst to all, the eruption was so severe it created a hole deep at the base of the island under the sea.

This natural tunnel filters to the ocean where the Deep Ones of Ghatanothoa’s cult still thrive. Their Shoggoth may have been destroyed, but now they are coming from an unexpected direction: from the caves below the volcano, not from the sea! Will the Deep Ones try to revive their Elder God? Or simply assault the remnants of Farzeen and try to take control?

The Pale Shepherd

The Pale Shepherd

by Simion Goudreault

The Pale Shepherd is a one-shot adventure for Sandy Petersen’s Cthulhu Mythos for 5e. It can act as a curtain-raiser to the longer Ghoul Island campaign or be played as part of any ongoing fantasy-based Mythos game.

It is intended for a party of four 1st-2nd level characters — several pre-generated characters are provided in the adventure’s appendix.

“A band of weary adventurers learns that evil can lurk in the most hospitable of places when they seek refuge at the Pale Shepherd Inn. To survive a night of terror, the adventurers must risk their lives and sanity to face the horrors of the mythos. Pray that dawn comes soon.”
