Heya, I’m running Have You Found It. We’re not out of Act 1 yet, but there are a few typos and missing information.

PG 42 with the alchemist, for Treasure it says ‘See below for list of potions available’. There is no list below

PG 50 map on second floor do not match up with room descriptions. Maps numbers are single digits, descriptions are in tens. Also, descriptions for 7 – collapsed floors say a pit in the east has a thin board over it but the North indicator is orientated so that the pits are either north or south.

PG 54, because of the area numbers being incorrect, I’m not sure exactly where 15. Holding Area is supposed to be

There are also a few lesser typos, like punctuation and bolding in strange places

We’ve just made it to the alchemist. I’m a new dm with mostly new players and we’re having a blast so far, the dread is freaking everyone out wonderfully!

Hi!

I also purchased Have You Found It and am planning on running it as soon as the current game my friend is running is finished. Thank you for bringing up typos and missing information; hopefully a moderator or someone can fix some of the things found in the book.

I did also notice something missing which I’ll add onto the end, but I at least wanted to help with the map issue:

  •  As far as I can tell, the Master bedroom is the “one” on the second floor. The guest rooms are “two” and “three, the common rooms are “four,” the collapsed floors are “five” and the holding area is actually not drawn, but is directly above “eight” while the south path that the PC’s can try to cross but might break is 6 on the second floor. This is my best guess; hope it helps.

As for something I found missing:

  • On page 2 it mentions a “…flowchart illustrating the connections between the major families…” which sounds super useful, but isn’t anywhere.

Please, if anyone has any fixes or suggestions for the missing things in this book, respond in this thread. Thanks!

Nice. I plan to update if I find other things as we progress through the campaign.

I had been just using the physical book, cuz it’s easier for me to remember where things are in it. Turns out in the pdf the map of the House of Iridescent Dreams, the second floor is numbered ..better, maybe still not correctly but actually in the tens. 15 is the room north of ‘two’, and you may be correct – originally 15 might have supposed to have been above 8 since with the new location, there is now no longer an unstable hole edge they have to cross to get to 15.

And by some of the descriptions, I think the map was originally in a different orientation and mirrored. By the room descriptions, North might have supposed to be to the left and East is down. So the pit on the first floor with the board crossing it, the ‘East’ one, I treated as the southern pit since it was at the rear door

Some changes I’ve made :

Changed the original murders at the temple to be two days before instead of two weeks, that seemed entirely too long to wait for an investigation.

We play with Discord and Roll20, once they realized saying Hastur out loud was a bad thing, I changed my displayed name to Hastur and my icon to the yellow sign lol

I didn’t like the grid size of the Alchemist shop and shrunk the grid

I also has the party detained for questioning about the temple ambush by the watch, instead of arrested, after the alchemist. It gave them the chance to befriend and traumatize Captain Errimac by showing him the sketch of the symbol and a long rest as they had over 25 points on the Hastur track at the time – I gave them dread and described a spooky experience when they suddenly began noticing the yellow sign everywhere

After the first mob and swarm, I kind of hand waved other encounters with them.. they’re kind of boring once you figure out the gimmick. So they haven’t encountered Zilaster at all. It will probably be Molleus when they have to go to Zilaster’s apartment later

They are currently in the House of Iridescent Dreams with the Countess summoned on the second floor, I had Molleus change instead of Ishvani (they were there to rescue her, I didn’t know how else to still make her rescuable) – this occurred out of sight as they were fighting half the mummers on the first floor while Molleus and the rest retreated upstairs to the master bedroom. I described a drop in temperature and the laughter of a thousand hollow voices coming from upstairs. If the change happened while they were in sight Molleus would’ve have said something along the lines of how he knew he was more worthy all along
