I just received the expansions to 8-Bit Attack, and am giddily going through all of them. I was digging through the Mythic Legends Champions when I found a questionable piece of art. So I have questions and demand answers!
Now, is the Cosmic Turtle actually canon to Glorantha, and does it actually look like Gamera? Is Gamera a fighter in the God’s War? Does this mean Atlantis is in Glorantha? How does Earth relate to Glorantha? Is it like another world or Glorantha in the future? Does this mean Gyaros is a Sky Terror? EXPLAIN PETERSEN GAMES!
Also, is Junas the Jaded flipping me off?
I really like Gamera, so I admit it was included just because of that. There is a cosmic turtle in Glorantha lore – the Lightbringers rode on its back to the edge of the world. Why not gamera?
Fun fact – we were asked to create a password for the playtest area for old Ensemble Studios. So we told them it was “Gamer A” with no spaces. But it was secretly “Gamera”. We knew.

Actually, Gamera and middle fingers aside, I do have a serious question. Why did you reuse the Galaxy Eel in the Hyperspeed box and not use the Space Amoeba or Giant Claw instead? I mean, I think the Galaxy Eel is cool, but it seems lame to reuse it as a Champion when it is already a Final Boss.
I totally agree with you about the Galaxy Eel appearing twice.
I was once told by a Navajo friend of mine that all Navajo rugs and pots are made with a tiny error someplace, because some traditional Navajos believe that if they ever did a perfect creation, they would die. I guess this Galaxy Eel mix-up is my homage to this Navajo belief, if real. (Navajos are also notorious humorists when it comes to telling Bilagaana things about their culture.)
Navajos are hilarious. I once saw this white dude wearing “indian” braids, moccasins, a fringed jacket and (I swear) a loincloth in a Navajo town. I admit the loincloth was over his pants, not by itself. Obviously this dude was trying to vibe with the natives. Three Navajo guys tool up in their pick-up truck, hop out, and do a double-take. The Navajos were dressed like Navajos – in other words levi jackets, denim pants, cowboy hats, and cowboy boots. (They did wear silver Navajo belt buckles.) They started talking really loud near the faux Indian. “Look at that guy there, Charlie.” “I know. Do you think he’s an INDIAN?!” “I guess he must be. So what are we?” and they went on and on like this while the white dude got redder and redder from embarrassment. I was dying trying to hold my laughter inside.
