Just a FYI.

I have just finished the overall design of Invasion of the Brood and Dinosaur 1944.

Invasion of the Brood: a two player game about the conquest (or liberation) of earth from a telepathic alien monster. One player represents the “woke” humans, aware of the deadly threat and anxious to alert the world. The other player is the monster operating from its base on the moon’s farside. It takes an hour or sometimes a little more to play. The humans are trying to wake up the various nations and get them to stop their petty squabbling and politics in the face of the existential threat of the Broodmaster Magnalux. Meanwhile Magnalux is gradually taking control of the various human war machines and establishing its minions all over the face of the planet. Both sides race for time – the humans try to complete Project Orion to destroy Magnalux on the moon before the brood is too powerful to stop, and the brood seeks to seize control over all human industry while holding off Project Orion.

Dinosaur 1944: a game in which American WW2 soldiers find themselves trapped on a lost Pacific island on which mad scientists have been resurrecting dinosaurs. The base game is co-operative, features the GIs fighting off hordes of dinosaurs until they can defeat the ultimate boss, a Tyrannosaurus rex. The main expansion lets you play as dinosaurs, trying to thwart the GIs. Or with the expansion you can play a team-based game, in which one team plays GIs, and the other dinosaurs, facing each other. The game takes about 2 hours to play and supports 2-8 players. Or you can play solo if you want to do co-op with 2 or more heroes. It has the cool plastic figures you associate with Petersen Games except, you know, they’re prehistoric monsters and army guys.

Dinosaur 1944 is kind of based on what we all used to do as kids with our bags of toy soldiers and plastic dinosaurs. FIGHT.
