Interesting. After playing PA and loving it, I am really interested in the coop mode of this. 🙂
Thanks. I will say that Dinosaur 1944 is a MUCH lighter/less intense game than Planet Apocalypse. And intentionally so.
Nonetheless I am interested what this game will be. 🙂 Maybe you can spoil is with a little more what Dinosaur is about and what to expect from this. 😉
sorry about the delay in posting. Things … came up.
Anyway, here is the backstory:
It’s 1944, and the US military has reports of suspicious activity on the isle of Kyoryushima. The army lands, only to discover it’s not the Japanese – it’s DINOSAURS. Mad scientists in their secret island base are using time machines along with stolen ancient technology to bring floods of prehistoric creatures to the present. They must be stopped!
In the core game, you play teams of soldiers trying to defeat floods of dinosaurs ranging from small vermin clear up to mighty sauropods, to protect your base. Intermittently “boss” dinosaurs show up making things even worse. The game is partly combat, and partly tower-defense (ambushes), so it’s a lot like Planet Apocalypse in that regard. Each hero is different and unique, and you level him or her up during play.
As the game rushes along, more and more dinosaurs show up, and things get far more intense.
There are multiple maps, plenty of heros to choose from, and lots of strategic choices.
In the first expansion, Dinosaurs Attack! we add the ability to play as dinosaurs! You can either play co-operatively as dinosaurs against the military, or you can play with your friends in two teams – one team being the army guys, the other playing as prehistoric monsters.
In the team game each team has its own fortress, and waves of enemies (who are friendly to the other team) are invading. You have to constantly choose whether you want your hero to be defending your own base, or helping lead your team’s minions to attack the enemy base. Every hero has some special team ability that is particularly useful in this regards.
as soon as we fix our “attachments” tag on the forums I’ll post more. It keeps going down for some reason, preventing me from showing more images.
Is that a Megalodon?? how you play a megalodon???
It is indeed a megalodon, and you can be one.
So ready for this game.

It’s great to hear that you enjoyed playing PA and are now interested in exploring the co-op mode of the game. Co-op can be a really fun and engaging way to play games, as it allows you to work together with others towards a common goal. With PA’s co-op mode, you and your friends can combine your strategic minds and resources to build and defend your base against enemy forces. You can also share control over units and structures, allowing for greater flexibility and coordination. Have fun exploring this exciting new way to play PA!
