New Monster from SPCM Pathfinder 2e: Worm of Ghroth

New Monster from SPCM Pathfinder 2e: Worm of Ghroth

Check out the Worm of Ghroth, a new monster from Sandy Petersen’s Cthulhu Mythos for Pathfinder 2nd Edition.

The worms of Ghroth are created by Ghroth’s influence, lingering behind when it departs to consume the reality Ghroth passes near. Worse, the worms of Ghroth can be summoned or gated from another world to one’s own, though the only reasons to do so would be hubris or nihilism.

The worms vary in size but are usually Huge. The worms’ fundamental feature is that they devour the very existence and fabric of reality. The ravenous creatures use their mandibles, seething with apparently-rotating teeth, to feast endlessly on all before them. They have an almost reptilian skin texture and float in the non-existence that surrounds them. They have no obvious means of propulsion, so their locomotion is mysterious.

Check out the Cultes des Goules, a new spellbook from Sandy Petersen’s Cthulhu Mythos for Pathfinder 2nd Edition.

Written by the Comte d’Erlette several centuries ago, this work has two main thrusts. In the first part, it discusses the structure and beliefs of cults that worship the Great Old Ones and the Outer Gods, though in a rather general way.

In the second, it is a tome of the deadliest black magic: a grimoire that contains all necessary information for performing a wide variety of rituals and magic effects. Its greatest weakness is that it has few dismissal or protective effects; rather, it focuses on loosing dangerous creatures upon an enemy and spells that harm others.

New Magic Item Featured in Sandy Petersen’s Cthulhu Mythos for Pathfinder 2nd Edition

Check out the flute of the servitor, a new magic item from our upcoming Sandy Petersen’s Cthulhu Mythos for Pathfinder 2nd Edition.

Flute of the Servitor

This bone flute emits odd, faint notes when moved or exposed to even the faintest breeze.

You play a single, clear note. It continues as an alien melody in the mind of all creatures that hear it within a 60-foot emanation, including you. Once heard, the melody makes it difficult to concentrate for 1 minute. No save is allowed against this effect. Whenever a listener attempts a concentrate action, they must succeed at a DC 5 flat check or the action is disrupted.

Check out the Shriveling Bomb, a new alchemical item from our upcoming Sandy Petersen’s Cthulhu Mythos for Pathfinder 2nd Edition.

Shriveling Bomb

This sandy powder is contained in a cloth sack. The bomb deals the listed negative damage on a hit and the listed negative splash damage as it painfully pulls all moisture from the target’s skin and body.

The creature hit must succeed at a Fortitude save against the listed DC or shrink by one size for the listed duration. On a critical hit, use the outcome one degree of success worse than the save result.

Shrinking reduces a creature’s reach by 5 feet if it was originally any size other than Medium. The creature’s equipment doesn’t change size with it, and if it was wearing clothing or wielding items, the sudden ill fit makes the creature encumbered.

The creature can attempt a new save to end the effect if it ends its turn immersed in water. The bomb grants an item bonus to attack rolls when thrown.

New Ritual from SPCM Pathfinder 2e

New Ritual from SPCM Pathfinder 2e

New Ritual Featured in Sandy Petersen’s Cthulhu Mythos for Pathfinder 2nd Edition

Check out the Contact Formless Spawn, a new ritual from our upcoming Sandy Petersen’s Cthulhu Mythos for Pathfinder 2nd Edition.

Contact Formless Spawn

Most casters use the formless spawn as a means of contacting Tsathoggua.

Typically, one or more formless spawn move to encounter you as quickly as possible, as they and Tsathoggua are always interested in new meals, new worshippers who might bring in new meals, or simply toying with fragile humanoids.

If you cast this ritual inside or within 90 feet of a temple of Tsathoggua, you get a +2 circumstance bonus to the skill check and the range is 100 miles. Otherwise, the range is 1 mile.

Critical Success: The ritual functions as intended, and the formless spawn’s attitude toward you improves by one step.
