I was reading through the Guide to Cthulhu Mythos, and I saw that the Future Yithians are tiny aberrations. Makes sense, bugs are small. However, the Future Yithian in Dinosaur 1944, which is probably my favorite figure in that game, is huge compared to the humans in the game. My question is, are the Future Yithian variable in size, or has PG’s stance on changed from small to big?
My view since the original SPCM is that at least one branch/morph of the Future Yithians are large, and we’ve shown them this way at least since the Hyperspace campaign.
It makes sense that the Yithians might have found a genus with multiple species of varying sizes but equally developed cognitively speaking. Until we wiped them out, Earth harboured a couple of potentially cognate hominins too after all.
