It is strange that I did not find information about my question. Can the Yellow Mark desecrate more than 12 zones (more zones than there are desecration tokens in stock)?

And do desecration tokens return to his pool after the destruction of the zone on the Shaggai map?

Yes and yes. I’d use some spare tokens or bits from some other game in the unlikely event that you need more Desecration Tokens.

You can play it either way, either by using spare tokens or by saying “No, he can’t desecrate any more”. It’s hard for me to imagine a game in which Yellow Sign both had 12 tokens AND wasn’t already a victor but I guess it could happen.
