Anyway, for right now I’m only releasing cruisers, and only for civs that A) don’t have drones and B) don’t have some weirdo aspect. I want to get the standard game working and fun. The next step is probably going to be to add drones

Well, a successful Engineering roll heals 4 Damage at max, and max damage (If the damage track is to be believed) is 30.

Hey all here is my game Hyperspace: Starship Captain, which I am posting here for y’all to look at and maybe try out. And of course incidentally giving me feedback, which you can do in this thread. If it needs more I’ll open up a whole separate forum devoted to it.
For now, there are only a few ships and civs available for you to test, but I have designed (and tried to balance) far more. Baby steps I guess. The rules are not yet edited or anything, so I hope they’re not too confusing.
There is a Read Me First 3file, a Playtest Rulebook 3file, both in Word. There is also a Playtest Cruisers 3.pdf and Playtest Light Ships 3.pdf. It has the hint cards, and the control panels for a number of different ships.
Apparently the version 2 of the docs is still showing up here. Not sure how to get rid of them.

1) the kickstarter is probably not till 2021
2) he ships are different between species. At least in their stats. If the campaign does super duper well, we may do customized versions of the cruisers and destroyers per species.
3) the ships are intended to be the exact same models from Hyperspace. At least the super-ships. They will have different bases though – each ship will have a hex-shaped base with an arrow on one side, pointed towards the direction the ship is headed.
