Hi Sandy,

What are your views on support for Cthulhu Wars in tabletop simulator – especially at a time where gaming groups can’t get together?

Is this something you’d be willing to have a longer conversation on?

Thanks!

Simon

Was coming here to post a similar question after seeing most of the other PG games on TableTopia.

I’d subscribe to TT just to play CW online with friends. Very keen to know more about where this may be at!

We’re behind it right now. At this moment, Hyperspace, 8-Bit Attack, and Eternal Adversary are on tabletopia. We’re looking into adding Cthulhu Wars. I remember playing Gods War with some folks for a public outing  so I assume it’s possible too.

That’s wonderful – thank you

I do have to ask though – why tabletopia rather than tabletop simulator? I am put off the former by the subscription based model – I’d much rather pay for a game and pay for DLC than be paying a monthly subscription to use something

Most games on Tabletopia are free.

There are several games in Tabletop Simulator from PG, I prefer TTS over Tabletopia (yes Tabletopia is freeware), cause tabletopia is more stiff in the way it is used, TTS has a better handling an engine, TTS is not freeware but is a 1 time 10 to 20$ (a lot of time it lowers to 10$ like every 2 to 3 months) plus mods are free (unless you want any of the DLCs), and for developers has no cost at all to create any amount of mods, I believe Tabletopia charges when you have x amount of mods uploaded I think

Currently there is a very big Cthulhu Wars Mod in TTS, with many expansions, look for one there are several created

plus the list of PG games currently on TTS:

Planet Apocalypse (KS PnP version needs update)

Hyperspace (10 civs from KS)

Evil High Priest (Full)

Cthulhu Wars (with many expansion)

I am currently on the works for Glorantha GoW, of course I always asked Sandy for digital stuff to add them on TTS, but no luck, even low poly meshes will help a lot and are not printable with such low quality, anyways is not like I will share them, but hey, I do what I can :P, I know some people pledge PA cause test it the game in TTS, other for HS to, it requires some work you know 😛

Which TTS mod is the best for CW? The ones I find seem to all be missing elements. Merci!

Thanks for pointing me at it. I had tried it before but couldn’t get the map to come up – more an issue with the user (me) than the mod it seems. 🙂
Now that I know it’s the best one I just need to figure out how to use it. Cheers!

We don’t have so much of the Glorantha Gods War figures digitally since this was the last time that we actually used real sculpts. We do have digital models for the new gods. Gilberto, e-mail me and tell me which meshes you need and I’ll see what we can do.

Also what do we need to do to update PA on TTS?

Also …. did you get your Planet Apocalypse yet?!

My PA is at local customs, have to wait around 1 or 2 weeks to clear and get it 🙁

You don’t need to worry about fiddling with the heat source or constantly checking the temperature – the smoker will take care of everything for you. Best electric smoker with wifi
