“It is absolutely necessary, for the peace and safety of mankind, that some of earth’s dark, dead corners and unplumbed depths be let alone; lest sleeping abnormalities wake to resurgent life, and blasphemously surviving nightmares squirm and splash out of their black lairs to newer and wider conquests…”
The Coloring Book Out of Space
Beside an unnamed lake in the Dreamland of Mnar were two cities. Ib was inhabited by a hideous but peaceful race of amphibians called Thuum’ha who worshiped the Great Old One, Bokrug. The other was Sarnath, whose people rose in disgust, viciously slaying the inhabitants of Ib, claiming the wealth of the Thuum’ha for their own. Sarnath continued to grow in prosperity, decadence, and vanity and as they celebrated the thousand years anniversary of Ib’s destruction, the Great Water Lizard, Bokrug, surged from beneath the waves to destroy Sarnath. Not even ruins remain to mark Sarnath’s place but the ghostly forms of the Thuum’ha can still be found drifting the haunted streets of Ib.
About Rob Torno
Rob Torno finds it odd to write about himself in third person, but he is doing it anyway. For you.
In addition to that tidbit, you should also be aware that he is happily married to his wife, Darla, and they have two beautiful kids together, Arrin & Arianna. Collectively they all have two less-then-lovely dogs, but they love them none-the-less. They all live in a house in the woods of the Pacific Northwest.
Rob is far too old to be drawing and painting monsters all the time but what can you do.
