The Bokrug

Beside an unnamed lake in the Dreamland of Mnar were two cities. Ib was inhabited by a hideous but peaceful race of amphibians called Thuum’ha who worshiped the Great Old One, Bokrug. The other was Sarnath, whose people rose in disgust, viciously slaying the inhabitants of Ib, claiming the wealth of the Thuum’ha for their own. Sarnath continued to grow in prosperity, decadence, and vanity and as they celebrated the thousand years anniversary of Ib’s destruction, the Great Water Lizard, Bokrug, surged from beneath the waves to destroy Sarnath. Not even ruins remain to mark Sarnath’s place but the ghostly forms of the Thuum’ha can still be found drifting the haunted streets of Ib.
