Sandy of Cthulhu: Humanoids from the Abyss

In his latest Sandy of Cthulhu video on YouTube, Sandy discusses the weird creatures from movies of his youth.

Who was the gill man? What bizarre human-ish monsters (people in rubber suits) are kin to the Great Old Ones? There aren’t very many that Sandy hasn’t seen.

New Ritual Featured in Sandy Petersen’s Cthulhu Mythos for Pathfinder 2nd Edition

Check out the Contact Formless Spawn, a new ritual from our upcoming Sandy Petersen’s Cthulhu Mythos for Pathfinder 2nd Edition.

Contact Formless Spawn

Most casters use the formless spawn as a means of contacting Tsathoggua.

Typically, one or more formless spawn move to encounter you as quickly as possible, as they and Tsathoggua are always interested in new meals, new worshippers who might bring in new meals, or simply toying with fragile humanoids.

If you cast this ritual inside or within 90 feet of a temple of Tsathoggua, you get a +2 circumstance bonus to the skill check and the range is 100 miles. Otherwise, the range is 1 mile.

Critical Success: The ritual functions as intended, and the formless spawn’s attitude toward you improves by one step.

This upcoming release is already available for purchase as a PDF, and your full purchase price of $19.99 can be deducted from the price of the physical book when it gets released at the end of March!

Meet the Investigator: Pete Kowalczik

Meet the Investigator: Pete Kowalczik

Call of Cthulhu Terror Paths is a tabletop cooperative experience for several players. All players take on the role of Investigators, who work together as a team. The game comes with two maps, each with wildly different scenarios. Coming in 2022.

In this installment Sandy introduces the investigator Pete Kowalczik.

Meet the Investigator: Pete Kowalczik

As a Master Carpenter, he was used to odd custom requests. But the puzzle box he created for the mysterious hooded man proved extremely challenging.

When he finished, he looked into the box, and its weird non-Euclidean angles, and saw into another dimension, another world. He knew that the hooded man should not own such a device. Now he is on the run, to keep such illicit lore out of the hands of the unworthy.

If you’ve wondered whether Cthulhu Wars Duel is right for you, you can test it out on TabletopiaPlay Cthulhu Wars Duel here

The Old Ones have risen. Monsters walk the Earth. Humanity is finished, but the struggle continues. Which Great Old One will rule the ruins of Earth? Now, you take charge!

Cthulhu Wars Duel is a fast-moving two-player strategy game in which you play as Great Cthulhu himself or the Black Goat, a cosmic goddess of hideous fertility. Each side is strikingly different with unique units, abilities, and strategies available.

In Cthulhu Wars Duel, the giant plastic miniatures have been replaced with cardboard standees. This not only allows the game to be more affordable, but also makes it travel friendly and saves table space.

This means you can drop a box of Cthulhu Wars Duel in a bag and take it to your game night with minimal space requirements.

Cthulhu Wars Duel also doesn’t take up as much table space as the original, allowing it to be played in smaller spaces. In short, this is the most accessible version of Cthulhu Wars ever made!

“Always appreciate your honest and direct approach Sandy. When you have the free time/drive, I would suggest you focus on one new map rather than an entire episode, then see how that worked for you and the response from the players upon its release.”
